Over the recent years we have tried to push our Women’s & Girls’ Cricket Section but 2021 was the year it exploded at Tod CC. We regularly get young girls joining our weekly junior training sessions and we welcome more and more, and our schools coaching initiative promotes this.

In 2021 we embraced the latest ECB initiative, Women’s & Girls’ BIG Cricket Month during June 2021 and it was a smash hit! Over the 4 weeks we had 48 attend and the feedback was that they wanted to continue playing cricket, so we now have our very own Women’s & Girls’ Cricket Section to go alongside our senior teams and fast-growing junior section.

We host Women’s & Girls’ training on Saturday mornings throughout the summer for a range of ages and abilities and everyone is welcome, and we played several softball friendly games against local clubs. Get in touch if you are interested as we expect this section of the club to thrive going forward.
