A huge congratulations to neighbouring Todmorden CofE School, who were crowned Yorkshire County Champions on Wednesday 6^th July at Hunslet Nelson CC in Leeds. After qualifying from Todmorden cluster event, Todmorden CofE School won both the regionalised Calderdale and West Yorkshire competitions qualifying for The YCB County finals.

With 15 schools competing for the prize on the day, Todmorden CofE School were undefeated throughout the competition defeating schools from Sheffield, Harrogate and York. In the final, against Kirkburton Primary from Huddersfield, Todmorden CofE batted first scoring 96 runs – successfully restricting Kirkburton to 70 in reply to lift the county prize!

The 9 youngsters pictured, who all represent TCC, all contributed match winning performances along the way with the bat, ball and in the field.

Well done to all involved, there are just short of 1,800 primary schools in the whole of Yorkshire so to come away as champions is a huge achievement!

We are very proud of the school and the boys who have performed so well, well done!
