The following statement has been shared by Stuart Lever – son of the former Lancashire and England fast bowler Peter Lever who has sadly passed away at the age of 84 .
“Further to the previous notification of our father’s passing, his funeral will take place in his beloved Bratton Clovelly on the 8th May. If you want details about this please just ask. The family do not expect his friends and colleagues from the north of the country to travel all the way to Devon. Instead, we have arranged an informal get together at Rochdale Rugby Union Football Club on the 27th June from 7pm. This is an open invitation to friends of the family and members of the rugby club, Lancashire County Cricket Club, Todmorden Cricket Club and Bamford Fieldhouse Cricket Club. As we say, an informal get together, so informal dress. Again, if you need more details – just ask.”
