Todmorden CC AGM 2023

In January, we hosted our Annual General Meeting for the Financial Year End September 2022.  The evening went well and updates were given on finances, cricket and general club matters.

John Garland’s 3 year tenure as President was up and we would like to thank him for his time and efforts over the past 3 tricky years!  The club unanimously chose to appoint Tony Gledhill as President for the next 3 years.  Tony is well known to all and is a former cricketer, committee man and long serving chairman.  During his playing days Tony played 32 times for the 1st XI but is fondly remembered for his long period as 3rd XI skipper where he scored plenty of runs and won plenty of trophies.  We wish him all the best for the next 3 years.

We had a couple of departures in the officer roles.  Betty Whittaker stood down as Membership Secretary and Anne Barker stood down as Club Secretary, both have been fantastic servants and we thank them for all of their hard work over the years.

An enjoyable moment was when Nevil Sutcliffe and Tim Burill were awarded Life Honorary Memberships of the club, the highest accolade we can give.  Congrats to both men who do a great job on the club on a daily basis on the ground and whatever else needs doing!!  Nevil & Tim join Bett Whittaker, Alad Fiddling, Freda Heywood, Les Whitehead, Sue Whitehead, Lesley Crossland, Tony Gledhill, John Vickers and Ken Sutcliffe on the list.
